Who cares why I first fell for Kim Hyun Joong (김현중). What's important here is I'm still his fan, and I get reminded again why I'm STILL his fan b/c of days like today. The following is what Kim Hyun Joong did on July 3rd at the handshake session for his 2nd Japanese single "Heat:"

1) He provided bottled water for his fans waiting for the session;

2) He skipped some interview(s) which could have been another opportunity to promote his new single on tv b/c he didn't want his fans to wait any longer in the rain;

3) He opened up the tent/canopy where he was shaking hands so that all the fans waiting outside could see him;

4) While the session was in progress, he apparently moved (or changed the row--not clear) in order for the fans to be protected from the rain & in the process he ended up getting wetter than the fans;

5) After the session, he made sure that no one was left out, shaking hands with him & walked to the car so that fans could see him leave. He also stopped his people from preventing some fans trying to get closer to him;

6) When a Japanese fan asked the staff why the fans were able to get one ticket per CD instead of one ticket per 3 CDs as the original notice had previously indicated, she was told that Kim Hyun Joong didn't want the fans to spend more money than they had to.

I hear how other celebrities often "use" their fans (sometimes in a very subtle way) to get what they want by hinting & occasionally through their Twitter accts as well. I feel so lucky to be Kim Hyun Joong's fan. He talks the talk & walks the walk. When he says he loves his fans, I REALLY do feel that love. Kim Hyun Joong shook hands with approximately 10,000 fans (the number's not clear) with a smile on his face. I don't think anyone can smile for that long if his/her heart wasn't in it!!!!! Thank you for being yourself & that's all I want from you--Kim Hyun Joong being Kim Hyun Joong and nothing else.

P.S. Thank you to all those who went to the event today to show support. I heard you guys were awesome in every way!!!! Kudos to all Kim Hyun Joong fans.
